The role of the school is to facilitate the learning process. The teacher, in particular, plans a developmentally appropriate, well-integrated curriculum which provides learning activities in all areas of the child’s development, through an integrated approach. In practical terms, the curriculum is designed for the age group served and implemented with attention to the needs and differences of the individual children in the group. The teacher prepares the environment by providing a variety of activities and materials for the child to learn through active exploration and interaction with other children and the teacher. These learning activities should be concrete, real, and relevant to the child; enhance his self-esteem and cultivate positive feelings towards learning.
