THE SKDLC WAY

Our Interactive E-Learning Program offers a world of opportunity to complement the usual face-to-face classroom setup with something new, engaging and exciting online learning experience at home. Engaging learners in an online learning program is one of the keys to ensuring that they learn effectively and get the most out of what they are doing. With interactive online learning experiences, learners have no option other than to get involved and take an active role in their learning.

EQ-onnection

Humans are wired to be connected to each other. Social learning takes place when learners reflect upon, discuss and showcase what they are learning, making, reading, solving, experiencing and playing.

It’s always better together! We start with an icebreaker, share reflections and explore new insights; as the teacher gives mini-presentations that ignite discussion.

Moreover, online collaboration typically incorporates more communication tools, such as chat, open discussion boards, polls, multimedia content and social media.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES that are meant to enhance every student’s special interests as well as personality development and teamwork shall be held online which promises to be fun, substantial and meaningful.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS!

Every meeting shall have two components:

1. Interactive Live Online Teaching Sessions

The term “interaction” is referred here as an active learning strategy. Learners learn best when they are required to participate in the process actively, rather than simply reading a text or watching a video. It’s always better to have learners do than watch. Learners will not only passively absorb information but somehow spur them to action: communicate, reflect, create, or put their new skills into practice.

The Learning Facilitators conduct highly interactive live online teaching sessions and the students learn in real-time, face-to-face but via internet-enabled technology devices. The classroom or the meeting room staple – whiteboard – remains intact. Brainstorming, ideation, and discussions happen in real-time.

Teachers and students can also work in groups together in breakout rooms where interaction becomes more engaging.

2. Interactive Virtual Classrooms

These classrooms are meant to simulate physical classrooms to make students feel like they are in school. The bell rings which signifies the start of classes. Attendance is checked and classroom rules are quickly reviewed. A few short introductory activities are conducted to inspire and engage the young learners.

3. Guided Work Period in the E-Resource Hub

E-Resource Hubs shall be utilized to simplify creating, distributing, and grading assignments. Its primary purpose is to streamline the process of sharing files between teachers and students. This is also where all materials, assignments, seatworks, and communication happen between the school, the learner and the parents. Teachers are to monitor the progress for each student, and after being graded, teachers can return work along with comments.

Alongside, electronic resources shall be included which consist of data representing numbers, text, graphics, images, maps, moving images, music, sounds, etc., and programs of instruction sets.
