Holistic Child Development
SKDLC is guided by a progressive curriculum which blends Jean Piaget, Maria Montessori, John Dewey, and Howard Gardner’s education principles. Our teachers develop age-appropriate activities that introduce and strengthen academic, emotional and social skills.
In addition to the basics, we offer students a range of gross motor and creative opportunities including circle time, practical life, arts and crafts, bible hour, and organized group games. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our students’ knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom. Each year, our students take an exposure trip to a zoo, a stage play, working farm, a museum, and other local places of interest. Our annual Speech Festival showcases our students’ verbal-linguistic intelligence as well as their talents in the performing arts.
English is strictly our medium of instruction.
We are also committed to parent education. For interested parents, we offer a number of seminars throughout the year to help you better understand and support your children’s development.
EDUCATION PRINCIPLES
STAR KIDS are smart in eight ways:

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity.
1 Timothy 4:12
Manager of the Learning Process
The ideal teacher for our interactive curriculum is not the authoritarian instructor but the trustworthy facilitator or manager of the learning process. S/He is not somebody on whom learners always lean but somebody who gradually rids them of the tendency to lean. S/He enables learners to become active constructors of knowledge and not passive recipients of information.
To all dynamic, teachable educators who genuinely love kids, Star Kids DLC would love to hear from you very soon. You may submit your resume to our office or email them to us. Experience priceless moments teaching at Star Kids DLC.
